Attorney Mark Coleman Argues Lack of Impairment in Fatal DUI Case

Mark Coleman, a highly respected and successful defense attorney, is representing Korina Aimee Machuca, a Fresno woman who has been charged with two felonies: gross vehicular homicide while intoxicated and driving under the influence of a drug while intoxicated. It is alleged that Machuca, who pleaded not guilty in court on Monday, was under the influence of marijuana when she struck and killed a bicyclist on October 22nd. However, Coleman has argued that although marijuana was present in Machuca's system at the time of the accident, it had already metabolized and was not affecting her ability to drive.

Coleman is known for his thorough and effective legal strategies, and is confident in his ability to defend Machuca against the charges. If found guilty, Machuca could face over 10 years in prison. Her next court appearance is scheduled for December 15th.
